Job summary

New Zealand Health Group – Auckland is seeking energetic and motivated Support Workers to assist individuals in their own homes and community settings. This part-time role offers meaningful daily activities such as swimming, events, arts and crafts, and shopping to help clients achieve personal goals.

You will be part of a caring team, with opportunities for free training toward NZQA Health & Wellbeing, travel allowances, and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• People who are passionate about helping others, are kind and understanding.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, including experience working with youth.
• Full driver's license and owning your own vehicle is essential.
• A desire to support people to learn new skills and achieve outcomes.
• Somebody who has the initiative to push people for their goals, is energetic, outgoing, and can think outside the box. You need to be respectful of others thinking, and their way of living life that may be different to your own.

Responsibilities

• Support people in their home and community to lead fulfilling lives by doing the things they want to do such as going swimming, attending sporting events, arts and crafts, movies, or shopping.
• Assist with daily tasks and accompany to events, shopping, and community activities.
• Promote safety, confidence, and social interaction for the people we support.
