Job summary

Smith's Mitre 10 Mega in Christchurch's Papanui store is hiring team members to work on our checkouts on Saturdays and Sundays. These roles are fixed term until January 2027, with successful candidates expected to commit to full-day shifts (8.5 hours).

You'll need a great smile, attitude and the ability to handle Trade and DIY customers alike. We value enthusiasm, team spirit and a can‑do mindset, with prior cash handling or retail experience seen as an advantage.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing experience is preferred.
• Cash handling and/or retail experience advantageous.
• Willingness to learn and adapt quickly.

Responsibilities

• Work on checkouts on Saturdays and/or Sundays.
• Flexible to full-day shifts (8.5 hours).
• Support trade and DIY customers with a positive attitude.
