Job summary

NPAworldwide in Wellington is seeking an experienced water infrastructure engineer to help shape NZ's three-waters sector during a pivotal reform period. You will lead technical design and delivery across stormwater, wastewater, and drinking water projects, working directly with councils and water entities to influence outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold a civil engineering qualification, Washington Accord recognition, and CPEng status for senior roles.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering.
• Experience across the three-waters sector.
• CPEng status for Senior/Principal-level applicants.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.
• Commercial acumen and track record of complex project delivery (leadership level).

Responsibilities

The Role:

NZ's three-waters sector is going through genuine structural change right now this isn't business-as-usual design work, it's a chance to actually help shape how the sector evolves. You'll work directly with councils and water entities navigating that transition, with real influence rather than just executing someone else's spec.
