Job summary

Oceania Dairy (ODL) is a Glenavy, South Canterbury-based dairy manufacturing plant with around 400 staff. We are seeking a Warehouse Stores Assistant / Forklift Operator to ensure the right goods are in the right place at the right time, receiving, inspecting and recording incoming goods and processing orders accurately.

You will work a 4 on, 4 off day-shift roster, use RF scanning systems, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Current OSH forklift certificate.
• Hands-on forklift experience.
• Familiar with RF scanning warehouse systems.
• Commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and record incoming goods and ensure accuracy against orders.
• Process orders accurately and on time.
• Maintain inventory transactions (receipts, shipments, transfers) and keep records up to date.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve urgent issues and ensure smooth operations.

A bit about the role

As our Stores Assistant, you'll help keep our Glenavy warehouse running smoothly. You'll make sure the right goods are in the right place at the right time. You'll receive, inspect and record incoming goods, check that everything is accounted for and meets our quality standards, and process orders accurately and on time. When something urgent comes up, you'll work with other departments to get it sorted.

Good records matter here. You'll keep inventory transactions accurate, including receipts, shipments and transfers, so the team can always trust the numbers. You'll often work on your own and manage your time to get everything done safely and on schedule. We'll also train you across all areas of the warehouse and the machinery that goes with it, so there's real room to grow your skills.

A bit about you

You hold a current OSH forklift certificate and have hands-on experience driving one. You're comfortable with RF scanning warehouse systems and take safety and quality seriously in everything you do. Manufacturing experience is a bonus.

You're a team player who can juggle a few things at once without dropping the ball. Above all, you're keen to learn, you take pride in doing the job properly, and you want to grow with a business that invests in its people.
