Overview

Stock Clerks- Stockroom, Warehouse, or Storage Yard

Bidfood Nelson is seeking a Warehouse Storeperson specialising in our Inwards area, with the need to support our Drystore and Chiller sections as required. If you're a seasoned professional in warehousing and logistics, adept at quick thinking and organisation, this role is ideal for you.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory inwards flow, offload trucks, and ensure timely and accurate handling of goods.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and stock rotation in all areas when required.
• Full daily restocking for Nightshift Operations.
• Assist in the Drystore and Chiller sections as required.
• Collaborate with teams across the business to meet customer needs efficiently.
• Uphold health and safety standards, contributing to a safe working environment.
• Operate forklifts with precision and adherence to safety protocols.

Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in warehousing and inwards.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Meticulous management of quantities, descriptions, and expiry dates.
• High attention to detail in all aspects of warehouse operations.
• Forklift experience and certification is a must.
• Physical fitness and the ability to meet the demands of a dynamic warehouse operation.
• Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Diligent inspection for damages and assessment of the goods\' condition.
• Stable Monday to Friday schedule (6:00 am to 2:30 pm), totalling 40 hours per week.
