Job summary

Nestlé Purina in Marton, New Zealand is hiring a proactive Warehouse Operator to join our Supply Chain team. This permanent, full-time role supports finished goods, packaging and raw material warehouses, with flexibility to cover all areas as needed.

You will receive, store and move stock, perform GMP and food safety checks, operate a counterbalance forklift, and work with production and quality teams to keep stock moving safely and on time.

Qualifications

• One year of warehouse experience.
• Experience operating a counterbalance forklift.
• Flexibility to work across finished goods, packaging and raw materials.
• Attention to detail and understanding of stock movements.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and follow site requirements for forklift operation, racking, housekeeping and material handling.
• Receive, check, unload and store raw materials and packaging, and stage materials for production and return unused materials to storage.
• Maintain accurate stock records across all three warehouses, complete cycle counts and report stock discrepancies.
• Handle finished goods movements, storage, picking and dispatch, and support pallet ordering and staging, rework and pigfood movements.
• Work with Production, Warehouse, Planning, Quality and SHE teams to meet daily priorities and maintain efficient material flow.
• Complete quality checks and maintain GMP, food safety, traceability and compliance standards.
• Learn the processes in each warehouse area and provide cover as required.
• Participate in operational reviews and suggest practical improvements to warehouse processes.
