Job summary

Mico’s Auckland Distribution Centre is seeking a Warehouse Operator to join our team. This hands-on role handles picking, packing, dispatch, and forklift operations to service our Auckland metropolitan, regional, and national customers.

You’ll be organised, safety‑minded and able to work with limited supervision while supporting the broader team to meet daily delivery requirements. The position runs 40 hours per week, Mon–Fri 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with occasional Saturday shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse or distribution centres.
• Safety-focused with ability to handle physical tasks.
• Ability to operate a forklift and manage daily dispatch operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack and dispatch orders accurately and on time.
• Receive and check goods against documents.
• Load/unload trucks and devanning containers safely.
• Coordinate daily dispatch and maintain dispatch records.
• Conduct stocktakes and report discrepancies.
• Maintain clean, safe workspace and operate a forklift.

About the Role:

Join Micos Auckland Distribution Centre as a Warehouse Operator in this varied, hands‑on role where you will play a key part in servicing our Auckland metropolitan, regional, and national customers with hundreds of Mico product deliveries every day.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Picking, packing and dispatching orders accurately and on time
• Receiving and checking incoming goods against delivery documents
• Loadings and Unloading trucks safety including devanning containers
• Coordinate daily dispatch, checking and completing delivery paperwork
• Completing stocktakes, cycle counts and reporting stock discrepancies
• Maintaining accurate dispatch and freight records
• Processing returned stock and reporting damaged or missing products
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workplace through general housekeeping
• Operate a Forklift

Permanent full-time role based at our Auckland Distribution Centre located in Mangere offering 40 hours per week Monday to Friday from 8:00AM – 4:30PM with occasional rostered Saturdays as and when business needs require.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you'll have previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment. You'll be safety-focused, physically fit, and confident operating a forklift. Most importantly, you'll be organised, reliable, and a team player who can work independently while supporting the wider team to meet daily operational requirements.

• Previous experience working in a warehouse, distribution centre or similar environment
• Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting (25kgs) and manual handling tasks
• Full NZ Class 1 drivers’ licence is Essential
• Forklift experience with F endorsement is desirable
• Strong work ethic and an approachable, down-to‑earth attitude
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Organised with sharp attention to detail
