Job summary

NZ Sugar is seeking a Warehouse Operator for an afternoon shift to support storage and distribution of products across New Zealand. The role involves forklift and reach truck operation, picking, packing and loading customer orders, inventory control, container loading and basic record-keeping.

The successful candidate will work with production, logistics and warehouse teams, maintain high housekeeping standards, and contribute to a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience.
• Forklift experience (counterbalance and/or reach truck preferred).
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Physical fitness for manual handling tasks.

We're looking for a Warehouse Operator with 'get up and go' who enjoys hands‑on work, values safety, and takes pride in doing a great job every day.

This role is part of our afternoon shift team, operating Monday to Friday from 2.30pm to 10.00pm, giving you your weekends free.

About the role

As a Warehouse Operator, you'll play a key role in managing the storage and distribution of our products. No two days are the same, and you'll be involved in a variety of warehouse activities, including:

• Forklift and reach truck operation (you must have a current forklift licence).
• Picking, packing and loading customer orders.
• Inventory and stock control.
• Container and truck loading.
• Record keeping and basic computer-based tasks.
• Maintaining high housekeeping standards.
• Supporting a strong health and safety culture.
• Working closely with production, logistics and warehouse teams.

Ideally, you'll bring:
