Job summary

Rocket Lab Corporation, Auckland Production Complex, is offering an Inventory Specialist Intern role within the Supply Chain team. You will analyse storage efficiency across multiple warehouse locations by calculating part-to-location ratios and identifying saturation bottlenecks to improve retrieval times.

You will collect data, create visualisations, and propose actionable recommendations for improving storage layouts.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed MBA or Bachelor's in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data quality
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively, with accountability for results

Responsibilities

• Collect data on parts and locations across multiple warehouse facilities
• Calculate and analyze the current part-to-location ratios for each warehouse
• Develop visual tools (heatmaps, dashboards) to represent saturation levels
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to validate findings and gather feedback
• Propose systematic improvements to storage layouts and part-to-location ratios
• Document processes, methodologies, and recommendations; prepare final report and handover
