Job summary

Aotearoa New Zealand Association of Social Workers is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join our team in Canterbury. The role covers daily warehousing tasks, picking and dispatching orders, forklift operation, stock control, and general store housekeeping.

You will deliver friendly customer service, manage inventories, and support billing processes. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 07:30–16:30, with a focus on accuracy and safe handling of goods.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklift and managing warehouse tasks.
• Experience with inventory control and stock accuracy.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to perform stock-takes and assist with billing processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive working environment in the store.
• Pick and Dispatch customer order (external and internal) – some lifting required
• Forklift operation and management.
• Provide exceptional customer service (external and internal)
• Accurate stock-takes, rating, and billing processes.
• Management of all stores operational, to include store housekeeping, store administrative duties, physical inventories, etc.
• Hours Monday to Friday 07:30 - 16:30
