Do you have excellent communication skills and enjoy interacting with people? Wellington Hospitals Foundation is currently looking for new volunteers to join our ward support team, located at Kenepuru Hospital.

Join a team that works towards creating a positive, friendly and community-minded environment for patients and their families. Talk to patients with kindness and being supportive of their needs. Spend time reading or chatting and offering company or quiet companionship. Support the staff on a ward by carrying out non-medical tasks and errands like tea-making. Being aware of the individual needs of the patient. Respect patients confidentiality and privacy. Previous experience in volunteering is desired but not essential. Volunteers are asked for a commitment of one shift per week (3 hours) and must be over 18 years old.
