We are a small(<100 people), gospel-centred church located on Auckland’s North Shore. Our multi-ethnic congregation consists mostly of families with teenagers and younger children, as well as some retirees and single people. We arecharacterised by stability, with many long-term members. While our building is inSunnynook, our members are geographically dispersedacross the wider North Shore and Hibiscus Coast area. Our services are conservative, family-friendly and informal in style. Our worship includes both hymns and modern songs.
Doctrinally, we uphold the 1689 Second London Baptist Confession of Faith. We affirm the ordinary means of grace (preaching, believer’s baptism and the Lord’s Supper) as the primary mode of edification in our Christian lives. We uphold liberty of conscience in non-essential issues.
Sunnynook Baptist Church has three elders in addition to our current pastor, and we run three regular Bible study groups (men’s, women’s, and a youth group).
