We are looking for a special person to join our Hamilton Zoo team as a Visitor Experience Representative on a full-time basis. If you think this could be you, let's talk.

Reporting to the Visitor Experience Supervisor, you will be the first point of contact for all visitor-facing functions within Hamilton Zoo. Utilizing best practices within customer service, retail assistance, and administrative support, you will contribute to Hamilton Zoo’s safe environment and ensure every visitor has an enjoyable experience.

  • You enjoy working as part of a team, but are also capable of working independently.
  • You are available to work on a 7-day roster.
  • You enjoy meeting customers from all over the world.
  • You have exceptional communication skills and can collaborate effectively with your team members.

Qualifications

  • Experience in quality customer service or similar work environments.
  • Experience with retail and point of sale systems, including basic monetary transactions, balancing, and report preparation.
  • Confident knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of customers and stakeholders (internal and external).

Circa $58,000 dependent on skills and experience.
