Job description

Do you have a passion for excellent customer service and enjoy working with animals? Rowe Veterinary Group are looking for a receptionist to join our small and friendly practice in Thornbury. As a valued member of the reception team, you will be the first point of contact for pets and their owners.

The ideal candidate will be professional and efficient with a welcoming and sympathetic manner. In addition, they will have excellent customer service skills, proficient knowledge of IT, the ability to remain calm under pressure, as well as having a love of animals.

The role

We're looking for a friendly, professional individual to join our team, where you'll be the first point of contact for our clients and their beloved pets. Your role will involve greeting clients in a warm and courteous manner, booking, cancelling, and amending appointments, and handling queries efficiently-whether by phone, email, or face to face. You'll also be advising clients on our preventative healthcare products, promoting our Pet Healthcare Plans and pet insurance, and dispensing medications and prescriptions as needed. Additional responsibilities include taking payments, cashing up, and supporting the team with general administrative and reception duties to ensure the smooth running of the practice.

Your shift pattern

This role covers 26 hours per week, working Tues 8 am - 2 pm Wed 1:30 pm - 7:30pm Thurs 1:30 pm - 7:30 pm, Fri 8 am - 2 pm 1:4 weekends working 8 hours either a Saturday or Sunday.
