This role requires working every Sunday, alternating between 2:30 pm to 10 pm shift and 7 pm to 7 am shift.

We seek an experienced veterinary nurse with a certificate or higher, who possesses the following attributes:
  1. Ideally, 3+ years of practical experience in companion animal general practice or emergency clinics.
  2. A high level of empathy when addressing clients' and patients' needs.
  3. Proficiency in emergency anaesthesia and surgical procedures.
  4. Outstanding communication skills and excellent time management.
  5. Availability to cover regular weekend shifts, including some public holidays.
  6. Confidence in working independently.
Your key responsibilities will include:
  1. Conducting phone triage, managing client communication, and handling diary bookings.
  2. Assisting with urgent and emergency consultations.
  3. Performing emergency anaesthesia and surgical procedures.
  4. Monitoring ICU patients.
  5. Conducting diagnostics and blood sampling.
  6. Taking radiographs.
  7. Administering medications.
  8. Providing overnight care for patients.
