The role and its duties

Bayswater Vehicle Group presently has Vehicle Sales Consultant roles available in both Napier and Hastings across 3 enticing brands.

• Engagement - engaging with walk in customers, phone and online enquiries using consultative engagement to understand the customer's needs, budget, lifestyle, and timeline
• Prospect and generate leads - actively seek new customers through follow-up calls, managing incoming internet leads, attending community events, and leveraging personal networks
• Customer relationship management (CRM) - meticulously log all customer interactions, preferences, and follow-ups in the dealership's Dealer Management System (DMA) to build a long-term lead establishment pipeline
• Master product details - maintain expert-level knowledge of the brand's entire new vehicle line-up, including features, specifications, technology, safety systems, trim levels, and options packages
• Conduct vehicle demonstrations - select appropriate vehicles for the customer's needs and conduct thorough, engaging test drives that highlight key features and benefits
• Relationship development and networking - build strong relationships and network across community groups establishing powerful connectivity within the local community
• Qualifying customers' needs - analysing them to deliver exceptional solutions to their vehicle needs
• Follow up - follow up efficiently and be proactive

Additional duties

In conjunction with management assessment of vehicle trade-ins, handover of finance and insurance applications, exceptional post-sale follow up.

Go the extra mile, do what you say you will do and provide customer service that greatly exceeds the customers' expectations.

The skills and experience required

Communication skills of an advanced level are required for this role, so too the ability to develop empathy and respect with your clients. There are high standards of presentation required.

While it would be preferable that applicants have vehicle sales experience, we are open to considering experienced sales personnel from other industries such as retail, and account managers or similar from other industries.
