Job summary

FBS Rentals Limited is seeking a hands-on branch assistant in Auckland. The role blends desk work with yard duties, ensuring vehicles are cleaned, checked on return, and prepared for the next hire while maintaining tidy admin records.

You’ll handle bookings, inquiries, and paperwork, support check-ins/check-outs, and keep vehicle files up to date. A NZ driving licence is essential, and a friendly, practical team player will fit well.

Qualifications

• Full, clean NZ driver's licence (essential).
• Good attention to detail and pride in your work.
• Basic computer skills and confidence on the phone.
• Friendly, can-do attitude and happy to work in a small team.
• Physically fit, comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
• Flexible to work weekdays/weekends/early starts as needed.
• Customer service or rental/automotive experience is a bonus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and grooming vehicles inside and out between hires.
• Checking vehicles on return for damage, fuel and kms, and reporting any issues.
• Moving vehicles around the yard and getting them ready for pick-ups.
• Helping with front-desk admin like bookings, emails, phone enquiries and paperwork.
• Updating rental agreements and keeping vehicle records up to date in the system.
• Supporting the team with check-ins and check-outs at busy times.
• Keeping the branch and yard tidy, safe and organised.
