Job summary

OceanaGold Corporation is seeking a stores operator for our underground mining operation in Otago, NZ. You will manage warehouse stock, receipts, issues and safety, while supporting on-site logistics and inventory accuracy.

The role involves forklift operation, data entry in Pronto, and timely supply of materials. Join New Zealand’s largest gold mining operation and enjoy a 9-day fortnight with a long weekend every other week, living in the stunning Otago region.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehousing, logistics or parts in mining sector.
• Competence operating a forklift.
• Proficient with Excel and Pronto or SAP.
• Qualification relating to warehousing or logistics.
• Valid full driver's licence.
• High accuracy in stock taking and data entry.
• Strong safety awareness.
• Problem solving and continuous improvement mindset.
• Good team communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Inventory control: receiving, issuing, storage, inward/outward shipping.
• Daily/rolling stock takes and recording levels.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Operate forklift safely and efficiently.
• Housekeeping of warehouse and remote yards.
• Comply with safety policies and procedures.
• Data entry and processing of invoices in Pronto.
• Supply goods/materials timely and efficiently.
• Apply best-practice inventory and logistics processes.
