Job summary

OceanaGold Waihi is seeking a qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic with mining experience. Enjoy returning home each evening instead of FIFO lifestyle and live near the beach with easy access to Hamilton, Tauranga and Auckland.

Key tasks include preventive and breakdown maintenance on loaders, drills, haul trucks and related equipment, with a focus on safety, quality, and accurate documentation. Heavy Mobile Plant experience is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working on heavy mobile plant equipment.
• Full and current driver licence with manual vehicle capability.
• L 3 Mechanical Trade Qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of preventative and breakdown maintenance on mining equipment (loaders, drills, haul trucks, ancillary plant).
• Ensure equipment is maintained per company/site policies and procedures.
• Complete scheduled tasks and service inspections to high quality; maintain safety integrity.
• Maintain legible, accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Source technical information from OEM manuals, bulletins and service docs.
• Promote safety, productivity and cost improvements.

Job Description

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Perform arange of preventative and breakdown maintenance tasks on mining equipment including Loaders, Development/Production Drills, Haul Trucks and Ancillary Plant andEquipment.
• Ensure all equipment is mechanically and electronically maintained in accordance with company and site policies andprocedures.
• Complete scheduled tasks and service inspections as planned to ahigh standard of quality which maintains the integrity of the equipment and does not compromisesafety.
• Maintain legible and accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Source technical information from the relevant OEM manuals, technical bulletins, and service documentation.
• Actively promote, seek out and participatein drives that will lead to improvements in safety, productivity, and cost effectiveness.

Qualifications

• L 3 Mechanical Trade Qualification
• Experience working on Heavy MobilePlant.
• A full and current Driver Licence with the ability to drive manualvehicles.
