Job summary

Continuity Global Solutions, partnered with October Protection, seeks experienced unarmed guards to support the Local Guard Force contract at the U.S. Consulate in Auckland, New Zealand.

Guards will perform security duties at fixed and roaming locations and assist local authorities to thwart criminal acts. Responsibilities include access control, screening with walk-through and hand-held detectors, and monitoring devices to ensure only authorized personnel enter restricted areas.

Qualifications

• Must have completed primary school.
• Ability to demonstrate local language is preferred but not mandatory.
• English language proficiency is required.
• Five years' experience in military, police, or security preferred.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift 30–60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Performing security duties at fixed, walking/roving locations.
• Providing assistance to local authorities in thwarting criminal and terrorist acts.
• Performing access control to limit entry to authorized personnel or visitors.
• Operating walk-through and hand-held metal detectors, barriers, and monitoring devices.
