With an expected roll of 372 tamariki in 2027, Te Ahuwai Bromley is a vibrant, culturally diverse, community kura where relationships, belonging and learning are at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking an innovative and grounded Tumuaki to build on the legacy of our long-standing Principal and lead our kura into its next exciting chapter.
Our kura is grounded in the belief that strong relationships, connection and collective responsibility create outcomes whereevery child can thrive. Our diverse community offers our Māori, NZ European, Pasifika and Asian students enriching experiences and perspectives. We want every child to see themselves, their culture and their identity reflected, respected and valued, and to know they are an important contributor to our shared community.
Our Reggio-inspired philosophy places tamariki at the centre of learning, recognising their strengths, curiosity, creativity and agency. As an Apple Distinguished School, we embrace innovation, purposeful technology and collaborative learning to empower tamariki to explore possibilities, share their thinking and help shape their learning.
We seek a Tumuaki who will nurture these foundations, champion inclusive and culturally responsive practice, and strengthen partnerships with whānau, staff and our wider community. You will recognise the value of diverse perspectives, foster a culture of collaboration and belonging, and inspire our tamariki and kaiako to grow together.
You will lead a passionate team of 23 teaching staff and 19 support staff, united by our mission: “Achieving personal growth for all through strong community partnerships and innovative teaching and learning.”
This is an opportunity to lead a high-functioning kura with a strong sense of identity, a connected community and an ambition to keep growing.
If you believe every child belongs, every voice matters and every learner has the potential to make a difference, we would love to hear from you.
