A leading recruitment firm in Christchurch is seeking an experienced Trust Accounting professional to manage the Trust Accounting function. This full-time, permanent position involves ensuring compliance with AML regulations and collaborating with the team. The ideal candidate has experience in Trust Accounting from sectors such as legal or real estate and possesses strong communication skills.
This position will see you taking charge of the Trust Accounting function, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and integrity in all client fund transactions. In a full time permanent position 8.30-5 Monday to Friday you'll be collaborating with the Partners and in house Accountant daily.
Full ownership of the Trust Accounting function as well as accounts receivable and montly reporting.
Leading AML compliance and continuous improvement
Settlements
Payroll
Supporting broader operational and risk management initiatives
Adhoc office administration when required
You're an experienced trust accounting expert who wants/enjoys taking ownership of it. You enjoy collaborating with the wider team and are looking for a full time permanent position.
Has strong experience in Trust Accounting (legal, CA firm, real estate, or similar sectors)
Understands AML requirements and is keen to lead firm-wide compliance
Can work through to 5pm (3-5pm is the busiest time) in the office
Communicates with clarity and inspires trust and collaboration
