Job summary

Trent's Wholesale in Alexandra is seeking a Store person to join the Central Otago team. You will pick, pack, check and prepare orders for dispatch in a fast-paced warehouse, including work in chillers and freezers as low as -18°C.

Qualifications

• Able to work in chillers and freezers, including temperatures below -18°C.
• Physically fit to perform regular lifting up to 25 kg.
• Demonstrates strong time management and organisational skills.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
• Forklift endorsement and OSH certificate preferred but not essential.

Job description

As a Store person, you'll play an important role in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. Working as part of the Trent's Central Otago team, you'll be responsible for picking, packing, checking and preparing orders for dispatch while maintaining high standards of accuracy, productivity, and safety. This is a physically demanding role that includes working in both chiller and freezer environments, including temperatures below -18°C. You'll also assist with stock movement, replenishment, housekeeping, and general warehouse duties as required.

Key responsibilities

Pick, pack, check, and prepare customer orders for dispatch

Maintain high standards of accuracy and productivity

Move and replenish stock within the warehouse

Carry out housekeeping and general warehouse duties

Follow all health and safety procedures

Contribute positively to a supportive team environment

About you

The ability to work comfortably in chiller and freezer environments, including temperatures below -18°C

A good level of physical fitness and the ability to safely perform regular lifting of up to 25kg

The ability to carry out physically demanding work for extended periods

Effective time management and organisational skills

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

The ability to work effectively as part of a team

A forklift endorsement and current OSH certificate (preferred but not essential)

A reliable and punctual work ethic

A strong commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety
