Job summary

Spartan Construction Ltd is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our growing team. The role involves working on civil and structural construction projects across the North Island with travel and allowances as per company policy.

Key responsibilities include reading plans, completing carpentry work to high standards, and installing structures. Minimum 2 years carpentry experience and a full driver licence are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years carpentry experience.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings.
• Full Class 1 Driver Licence.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Physically fit for outdoor construction work.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Complete carpentry work to a high professional standard.
• Construct, install, repair, and maintain structures and fixtures.
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble building materials.
• Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment.
• Minimise material wastage and rework.
• Assist with general labouring and construction duties as required.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Work with supervisors to deliver projects on time and to specification.
