Job summary

Spartan Construction Ltd is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our growing team in Hamilton, Waikato. The role involves working on civil and structural construction projects across the North Island, with travel as required and allowances provided according to policy.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of carpentry experience, read and interpret plans, hold a full Class 1 licence, and be able to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of carpentry experience.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and drawings.
• Full Class 1 Driver Licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit for outdoor construction work.
• Strong commitment to health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications.
• Complete carpentry work to a high professional standard.
• Construct, install, repair and maintain structures and fixtures.
• Measure, cut, shape and assemble building materials.
• Operate and maintain carpentry tools and equipment.
• Minimise material wastage and rework.
• Assist with general labouring and construction duties.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team to deliver projects on time.
