Te āheinga / The opportunity

As Transport Services Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of a passionate team, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of public transport services across the region. You’ll provide essential administration support to the transport team through accurate data entry, purchase order management, meeting scheduling, and process documentation. Your work will extend to the CityLink and BusLink programmes, where you’ll help keep services running seamlessly. Behind the scenes, you’ll manage resources and supplies, keeping the Rose Street terminal well-stocked and organised. Your coordination skills will shine during public transport events, where you may be called upon to assist or represent the team.

Communication is key in this role, you’ll be responsible for managing internal and external correspondence, responding to customer enquiries with professionalism and care. You will support our Total Mobility programme, supporting client onboarding, auditing, and correspondence, while representing NRC at disability-related events and ensuring health and safety standards are upheld.

He Kōrero Mōu / About You

We are looking for someone with exceptional organisational skills, who thrives on supporting a team and contributing to a customer-first culture. You will have strong administration skills and 2 + years’ experience in a similar role. In addition, you will bring the following:

  • Experience and proficiency in use of Microsoft applications especially Word, Excel and Outlook, and the ability to learn other software tools. Confident in the use of social media platforms, and digitally literate with a strong ability to adapt to new technologies.
  • Strong skills in documentation, reporting, and workflow process development.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates cultural awareness and empathy in all interactions.
  • Demonstrates awareness of and respect for Māori culture and tikanga.
  • Full New Zealand Driver’s License.
