Job summary

University of Canterbury in Christchurch seeks a leader to drive the operational delivery of its transnational education portfolio and overseas academic partnerships. This onsite role supports international partner institutions, student transition and offshore orientation, and Flying Faculty visits.

• Significant experience in international education, partnership management, transnational education or the tertiary sector.
• Strong stakeholder and cross-cultural communication skills.
• Professional fluency in Mandarin Chinese.
• Knowledge of the Chinese higher education system.
• Willingness to undertake regular domestic and international travel.

This Christchurch-based onsite role supports international partner institutions, student transition and support, Flying Faculty visits, offshore orientation, and partnership performance. The role involves managing complex international projects, improving policies and operational frameworks for offshore education, and working across university units including Digital, Finance, Legal, Academic Services and faculties. Candidates should have significant experience in international education, partnership management, transnational education or the tertiary sector, strong stakeholder and cross-cultural communication skills, and professional fluency in Mandarin Chinese.
