Job summary

Ventia is seeking an experienced Transmission Lineworker to build, maintain, and upgrade New Zealand's high‑voltage transmission network. This role requires hands‑on work outdoors, often at heights, and a strong commitment to safety.

We welcome experienced Lineworkers and qualified candidates from New Zealand or overseas who are motivated to develop a long‑term career in a specialist trade. You will join a team delivering essential infrastructure across the country.

Qualifications

• Experienced Transmission Lineworker or willing to train to become one.
• Candidate may be New Zealand-based or overseas-qualified.
• Experience in infrastructure, construction, utilities, or maintenance is valued.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain transmission towers and related structures.
• Install, replace and maintain conductors and hardware on high‑voltage lines.
• Inspect and upgrade critical network assets to ensure reliability.
• Work at heights using specialist equipment with safety systems.
• Support major infrastructure and renewable energy projects.
• Respond to faults and help restore power after network events.
