Join our team in Pōneke / Wellington as our Transition Manager, Managed Services. The Transition Manager is responsible for overseeing and facilitating the seamless transition of services from programme delivery into steady-state Managed Services. Reporting to the Service Delivery & Capability Director, you\'ll ensure operational readiness in people, process, tooling, and governance while aligning stakeholders, mitigating risks, and ensuring a seamless transition to Service Delivery teams.

This role is critical to our Managed Services team, ensuring that new Application Managed Services engagements are set up for long-term success. Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • Transition planning & execution: Develop and manage transition plans, track progress and dependencies, and ensure milestones are delivered in line with client requirements.
  • Operational readiness: Lead readiness assessments, establish environments and access controls, and ensure processes and workflows are ITIL-aligned.
  • Knowledge transfer & training: Drive knowledge-sharing programmes, onboarding, and client inductions to embed capability across teams.
  • Governance & stakeholder management: Set up governance frameworks and escalation paths, keep stakeholders engaged, and build trusted relationships with clients and partners.
  • Risk & issue management: Maintain risk registers, manage escalations, and ensure transparency in resolution.
  • Continuous improvement: Capture lessons learned and contribute to the enhancement of PwC Optimise playbooks and transition processes.

  • Proven track record with 4-7 years of experience managing complex transitions in Managed Services, outsourcing, BPO, or corporate services.
  • Strong project and programme management skills (Agile, PMP or equivalent required).
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including vendor and client management.
  • Demonstrated experience in knowledge transfer, training, and onboarding.
  • Broad understanding of ITIL processes; certification an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, MuleSoft, and modern ITSM platforms (e.g. Jira Service Management) desirable.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset with ability to manage ambiguity and drive outcomes.
