Job summary

Porirua College invites applications for a 1-year fixed-term Transition and Social Sciences teacher. You will teach Travel and Tourism, Junior Social Studies and Gateway, with potential involvement in junior Art/Design for qualified candidates.

The position is full-time and fixed-term from late January 2027 to late January 2028, based in Wellington region. Experience with diverse learners, and a commitment to restorative practice and whānau-based learning will be valued.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered teacher in New Zealand.

This role will involve teaching Travel and Tourism, Junior Social Studies and Gateway. It could include junior Art/Design for suitable qualified candidate. Experienced teachers in other subject areas may apply.
