Job summary

Waste Management Pte Ltd – Dairy Flat, North Island is seeking a motivated Trade Assistant to support skilled tradespeople on-site. This is a hands-on, full-time role with varied daily tasks across cleaning, loading/unloading, minor maintenance, and basic painting.

You will work outdoors, follow safety protocols, use hand and power tools, and contribute to a safe, tidy site while learning new skills and supporting a sustainability-focused company.

Qualifications

• You’ll brings a positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed.
• NZ Class 1 Drivers Licence is required.
• Enjoy outdoor, hands-on work and be reliable, safety-conscious, and a strong team player.
• Keen to learn new skills and take on a variety of tasks.
• Have the physical stamina for manual work.
• Experience with tools, construction, landscaping or similar work is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the site.
• Wash bins and equipment.
• Assist tradespeople with various tasks.
• Load and unload materials and tools.
• Keep work areas clean, tidy, and safe.
• Carry out basic maintenance such as painting, minor repairs, and landscaping.

We’re looking for a motivated Trade Assistant to join our team. This is a hands‑on role where no two days are the same, and you’ll be supporting skilled tradespeople while keeping our site running smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining the site
• Washing bins and equipment
• Assisting tradespeople with various tasks
• Loading and unloading materials and tools
• Keeping work areas clean, tidy, and safe
• Carrying out basic maintenance such as painting, minor repairs, and landscaping
• Operating hand tools and power tools (as required)
