Overview

Mitre 10 MEGA Wanaka is a dynamic and fast-growing company with a vision to provide a high level of customer service and expertise to our customers in Wanaka and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Trade team that has been awarded "Mitre 10 Trade Store of the Year" numerous times. We are looking for an allrounder who can work the Trade Checkout and be responsible for merchandising in adjacent areas. This role has a strong Customer Service focus and you will ensure interactions with our Trade and DIY customers happen seamlessly. We are seeking candidates who can work Saturday 8am to 6pm. Should the successful applicant seek additional shifts there may be other opportunities to work some other weekend/week days and there would also be ad hoc opportunities to fill-in as cover.

Responsibilities
  • Work the Trade Checkout and be responsible for merchandising in adjacent areas.
  • Ensure interactions with Trade and DIY customers happen seamlessly with a focus on customer service excellence.
Qualifications
  • A passion for customer service excellence
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Good numeracy skills and accuracy
  • Be flexible and able to think on your feet
  • Be able to meet customer demands with a polite and friendly manner
  • Keep a cool head during challenging situations
  • Enthusiasm and team spirit
  • Basic familiarity with computers and keyboard skills
  • Knowledge of building supply products is advantageous, but not a requirement if you are willing to learn
