Venues Ōtautahi own the Christchurch Town Hall and Wolfbrook Arena and manage Apollo Projects Stadium, Hagley Oval, the Air Force Museum of New Zealand, and One New Zealand Stadium. Venues Ōtautahi venues attract and host a wide range of over 500 events in Christchurch and manage a diverse and iconic portfolio of community venues.

About the Role

The Ticketing Manager, Entertainment is a vital role that involves ticketing operations and managing a portfolio of selected entertainment clients ensuring a seamless and enhanced client experience.

Reporting to the Account Director, Entertainment, this role will ensure that Venues Ōtautahi meets its revenue targets by responding to client and prospect enquiries, managing operations for ticketed events, conducting market research, providing quotes and client presentations, creating venue maps and tracking performance, sales, and event data.

This role will have a high degree of event ownership, motivation, and initiative, with the ability to accept a high level of responsibility and accountability. This position is based on a seven-day operation and will require shift work and weekend work as required.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Over 3 years' experience in ticketing operations.
  • Knowledge of Ticketmaster Ticketek or AXSticketing platforms
  • You will have experience in all stages of the sales cycle. You should be confident with account relationship and have the skillset to deepen the partnerships through anticipating their needs and providing solutions.
  • Skilled and comfortable in creating and executing account plans, meeting revenue targets and KPI's.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and event management tools, with confidence in working with data and reporting tools.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and ticketing teams.
  • Flexibility as this role is based on a seven-day operation and will require shift work and weekend work as required.
  • Background in live entertainment, or venue management is highly valued.
