Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in New Plymouth is seeking a Clinical Coordinator for Theatre to support the Clinical Nurse Manager and Theatre leadership. You will help manage daily operations, rostering, and provide multifaceted patient care in a busy six‑theatre environment.

The role requires extensive theatre experience, strong communication, and problem‑solving abilities, with a focus on maintaining high practice standards and adaptive leadership.

Qualifications

• Current Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
• PG Certificate desired.
• Proficient/ Expert PDRP (or working towards).

Responsibilities

• Support the Clinical Nurse Manager, Associate Clinical Nurse Managers and the Charge Anaesthetic Technician in daily operational and quality activities in the unit.
• Roster and coordinate the operating theatres, communication centre, and problem-solve to meet throughput requirements for specialties.
• Provide leadership within the theatre team and maintain high clinical practice standards.
