Job summary

Abano Healthcare Group is seeking two experienced Thai Massage Therapists for permanent, full-time roles at our Lower Hutt location. You will greet clients, assess conditions, and perform a variety of massage modalities to promote relaxation and well-being.

Duties include maintaining hygiene, handling bookings, and following a roster with 30–48 hours weekly. Applicants must have NZ citizenship/residency or a valid NZ work visa.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of authentic Thai Massage experience or equivalent qualification.
• NZ Register Diploma level or higher, or overseas qualifications comparable to NZ standard.
• National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Traditional Thai Massage) from Thailand.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare clients prior to treatments, including assessing their condition and case history.
• Perform a range of massage modalities including Traditional Thai Massage, Aromatherapy, Sports, Deep Tissue, Relaxation and more.
• Administer treatments to promote relaxation, improve circulation and relieve muscle tension.
• Provide ongoing treatment recommendations and advise on stretching and relaxation techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of treatment rooms, equipment and products.
• Perform reception duties including managing bookings and scheduling appointments.
• Work full-time on a roster, five to six days per week, with 30–48 hours per week.
