Golden Fingers Thai Massage in Auckland seeks five experienced Thai Massage Therapists to join our friendly team.

Responsibilities include Thai massage, acupressure, stretching, hygiene, and documenting client progress. Candidates need 2 years’ experience or NZQA Level 5 qualification or Thai certification; full-time, 30–48 hours weekly, $25.00–$35.00 per hour, Kingsland.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience as a massage therapist (Thai massage preferred).
• NZQA Level 5 qualification or an equivalent overseas qualification.
• National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Traditional Thai Massage) certification from Thailand (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Perform therapeutic massage of soft tissues to promote healing and relaxation.
• Apply traditional Thai massage techniques including acupressure, stretching, and compression.
• Assess clients’ condition and history to tailor treatment plans.
• Advise clients on stretching, strengthening, relaxation, and post‑treatment care.
• Use complementary aids such as herbal compresses, essential oils, warm stones, ice packs, etc.
• Maintain high hygiene standards in treatment areas and manage massage materials.
• Document client treatments and progress for records.
• Follow workplace health and safety practices and policy.
• Collaborate with team and comply with management instructions.

Golden Fingers Thai Massage is a well-established local business in Auckland, offering authentic Thai massage therapies to our valued clients. We are currently seeking five experienced Thai Massage Therapists to join our friendly and professional team.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing therapeutic massage of soft tissues (muscles, tendons, ligaments) to promote healing, relaxation, and overall well-being
• Applying traditional Thai massage techniques, including acupressure, stretching, and compression
• Assessing clients’ physical condition, medical history, and areas of concern to tailor treatment plans
• Advising clients on stretching, strengthening, relaxation, and post-treatment care
• Using complementary aids such as herbal compresses, essential oils, warm stones, ice packs, and other appropriate tools
• Maintaining high hygiene standards in treatment areas and handling massage materials properly
• Documenting client treatments and progress
• Following workplace health and safety practices
• Working collaboratively with the team and complying with lawful instructions from management

Candidate Requirements

Applicants must meet one or more of the following criteria:

• A minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience as a massage therapist (specialising in Thai massage preferred), OR
• A relevant qualification at NZQA Level 5 (e.g. NZ Diploma in Wellness and Relaxation Massage or an equivalent overseas qualification), OR
• The National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Traditional Thai Massage) certification from Thailand

• Hours: 30 to 48 hours per week
• Wage: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour, paid weekly
