Job summary

Hillcrest High School in Hamilton is seeking a textiles technology teacher for a full-time fixed-term maternity leave cover from 28 January 2027 to 2 July 2027. The role covers Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura with a Level 3 textiles programme in a well-resourced department.

Qualifications

• Must be a certificated textiles technology teacher with current NZ teaching registration.
• Ability to deliver a programme through to Level 3.
• Demonstrated collaboration and willingness to incorporate new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Teach in a secondary Textiles Technology context across Years 7–15.
• Deliver a textiles programme through to Level 3 within a well-resourced department.
• Engage collegiately with staff and share knowledge while maintaining high professional standards.
