Job summary

Te Haikura A Kiwa is seeking a New Zealand registered Digital Art State Teacher to cover a maternity leave period for 2027. The role is full time and fixed term, starting 28/01/2027 and ending 27/01/2028, to serve a diverse learning community with a growing roll.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate empathy toward students and culture, implement flexible assessment practices, and uphold NZ Curriculum pedagogy across the arts. The school is based in Manurewa, Auckland.

Qualifications

• New Zealand Curriculum understanding and teaching pedagogies.
• Ability to create flexible and ongoing assessment practices for students.
• Demonstrates empathy and understanding towards students and their culture.

Responsibilities

• Teach Digital Art to secondary students (Years 7–15) during a fixed term maternity cover.
• Deliver engaging lessons and assessments aligned with NZ curricula.
