Te tūnga | The role

We have an opportunity for a Test Analyst to join our Data & Informatics team, which sits in our Health Intelligence and Surveillance Business Group.

This is a fixed term position until 30 June 2026.

Reporting to the Manager Health Surveillance Applications, you’ll support the successful delivery of key projects within the Health Intelligence and Surveillance group by performing functional, integration, and user acceptance testing across newly developed features and enhancements.

In addition to project-related responsibilities, the role may also support business-as-usual (BAU) activities by participating in the standard software development lifecycle (SDLC). This includes regression testing, defect verification, and quality assurance of existing health surveillance applications to maintain system integrity and performance.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • The preparation and execution of test plans, test scripts and handover documents.
  • Developing test cases using Postman for API testing.
  • Gathering and identifying relevant documentation for test script development, including defining the appropriate tests and test data to use.
  • Assisting with planning and coordinating testing activities, to ensure successful deployment of all releases and patches to different testing environments.
  • Assisting with data analysis for software validation and the verification of changes logged in issue tracking software.
  • Documenting software defects by providing thorough technical descriptions and evidence.
