Wellington High School & Com Ed Centre – 273 in Wellington, North Island is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Teacher Aide to join He Kākanoteam. The role is 28 hours per week, term time only, exclusive of annual leave, fixed-term for Term 4 2026.

You will support an ORS funded student in mainstream classes, working toward goals in the HCN plan and IEP. Start date anticipated 12 October 2026, subject to police vetting.

Qualifications

• suitably qualified and experienced Teacher Aide
• supporting an ORS funded student in mainstream classes, working towards goals defined in the HCN plan and IEP
• experience with students with intellectual and behavioural needs desirable

Responsibilities

• Supporting an ORS funded student in mainstream classes across a range of subjects
• One-to-one care for students who require assistance with feeding and toileting may be required
