Job summary

Aotearoa New Zealand Association of Social Workers is seeking a senior procurement professional to act as the primary procurement partner to technology stakeholders. This 9-month internal secondment offers genuine potential for extension within a busy transformation program in Auckland.

You will lead sourcing strategies, commercial engagements, and supplier negotiations across a complex technology portfolio, with strong emphasis on risk management and value delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in senior procurement or supplier-focused commercial roles in a large or corporate organisation.
• Strong technology procurement experience is essential.

Role Summary

Covering an internal secondment for a minimum of 9 months, with genuine potential to extend for a significant period, this role sits within an established procurement function.

You will act as the primary procurement partner to senior technology stakeholders, leading commercial engagements and driving sourcing strategies across a complex portfolio of technology suppliers and platforms at a time when the business is undergoing significant technology transformation.

• Build strong relationships with functional leaders to understand their objectives and translate these into procurement outcomes

Key Skills and Experience Required

• Solid experience in a senior procurement or supplier-focused commercial roles within a large or corporate organisation
• Strong technology procurement experience is essential
• Proven ability to lead commercial engagements and negotiate complex supplier contracts
• Strong stakeholder management skills and comfortable influencing and advising at senior levels independently
• Good working knowledge of supplier risk management and contractual frameworks
• Able to manage multiple priorities and hit the ground running with minimal oversight
