Job summary

Inchcape is seeking an Automotive Technician (4th Year Apprentice) for a 3-6 month fixed-term contract at our Henderson workshop in Auckland. You will gain hands-on experience servicing and repairing a range of brands, including Subaru, LDV and more, while working closely with the workshop team and service advisors.

The role focuses on routine servicing, diagnostics support, and quality workmanship in a collaborative environment, with opportunities to expand skills across multiple vehicle brands

Qualifications

• Qualified Automotive Technician with hands-on servicing experience.
• 4th Year Apprentice nearing completion of trade qualification.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine vehicle servicing, maintenance, and inspections across multiple brands.
• Carry out general mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks per manufacturer standards.
• Support workshop team with diagnostics, repairs, and preparation of customer vehicles.
• Complete oil changes, tyre rotations, brake inspections, and other scheduled maintenance.
• Identify and report vehicle faults and repair requirements.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and to Inchcape quality standards.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Collaborate with Technicians, Workshop Controllers, and Service Advisors to support daily workshop operations.

About the Role

You will:

About You:

• Qualified Automotive Technician or a 4th Year Apprentice nearing completion of your trade qualification.
• Previous experience performing vehicle servicing and general automotive repairs.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn and develop your technical skills.
• Passionate about delivering quality workmanship with a keen eye for detail.
• A positive attitude and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• WOF authority is advantageous but not essential.
