Job description

Technical Sales Specialist (Auckland based)

Anton Paar New Zealand Limited|Auckland

Responsibilities:

• Direct sales of Anton Paar laboratory instrumentation and technical support to customers across the North and South Island
• Effective management of existing customer accounts and the generation of new revenue through prospecting
• Lead/funnel follow-up and effective territory management in a broad base of industries and applications
• Visit customer sites on a regular basis to give sales presentations, perform instrument demonstrations and installation of new products as well as training customers on the correct use of the equipment
• Additional administrative responsibilities include preparation of quotes, CRM management and territory reporting on a regular basis
• Overnight travelling is required (~ 30% expected)
• Occasional overseas travelling for product training
• Overall responsibility for solidifying the value proposition of Anton Paar to the customer

Your profile:

• Education in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Physics or Chemistry
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English and must be capable of communicating equally well across company lines
• Strong computer literacy skills and presentation skills
• Several years of experience in technical sales of analytical instruments preferred, but not essential
• Good practical skills in measurement equipment
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and math skills
• Willingness to travel within the country and occasionally overseas
• Valid working rights (visa) for New Zealand
• Valid driver license and ownership of well-maintained vehicle required
