Are you a driven sales professional with a knack for technical systems? Do you thrive in a client-focused environment and enjoy solving real-world challenges? Aero NZ is looking for a Technical Sales Consultant to support our South Island clients and expand our presence across Christchurch and beyond.

About Us

Aero NZ is a trusted name in gate and door automation, offering industry-leading products including automatic doors, sliding and swing gate motors, vehicle barriers, turnstiles, and advanced access control systems. As part of a growing team, you’ll work closely with trade professionals, integrators, and installers to deliver smart, secure, and seamless automation solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Building and nurturing strong relationships with trade customers, installers, and integrators
  • Promoting our full range of automation and access solutions to meet (and exceed!) sales targets
  • Offering technical support before, during, and after sales to ensure smooth implementation
  • Identifying new opportunities for business development across Christchurch and the South Island
  • Leading product demos and training sessions to empower installers and clients
  • Attending industry events to keep Aero NZ top of mind across the market
  • Supporting the local branch with hands-on help when needed — we’re a team-first kind of company!

About you

  • 3+ years’ experience in technical sales or customer support, ideally in the access control or automation space
  • Strong technical insight with the ability to explain complex systems clearly and confidently
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience with automatic door systems, gate automation, or access control is a big plus
  • A sales-driven mindset and a natural ability to problem-solve
  • NZ permanent resident with full working rights.
