This is a rare opportunity for someone with hands-on plumbing experience and strong technical acumen to step into a nationally influential role.

We’re looking for a mechanical engineer with plumbing project experience or a seasoned plumber who’s worked on large-scale developments and is ready to move into a customer-facing technical advisory position.

What the role looks like:
In this unique position, you'll become the trusted advisor for plumbing systems across New Zealand. You’ll apply your practical knowledge to:

  • Troubleshoot issues and provide expert guidance on product application
  • Lead investigations into customer concerns and develop solutions
  • Deliver technical training to both internal staff and external stakeholders
  • Support certification and compliance efforts (e.g. BRANZ, Codemark)
  • Contribute to product development and create design resources/tools

What you’ll bring:
  • Background in mechanical engineering or plumbing, ideally with major project exposure
  • Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with a range of stakeholders
  • Solid technical understanding of piping systems, installations or water movement
  • Interest in training, continuous improvement, and influencing product outcomes
  • A relevant trade or engineering qualification
