Job summary
Auckland Council is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to steer the evolution of our enterprise integration capability. This hands-on leadership role blends deep engineering expertise with building scalable, secure modern integration solutions.
Within the Platform Engineering practice, you’ll mentor engineers, uplift capability and ensure our integration platforms remain reliable, secure, and future-ready.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience delivering enterprise integration solutions.
- Leadership experience within large, complex environments.
- Strong MuleSoft and API-led connectivity experience.
- Mentoring engineers and influencing technical decisions.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for enterprise integration platforms and MuleSoft.
- Drive API-led connectivity, design scalable integration patterns.
- Establish governance, standards and reusable frameworks.
- Mentor engineers, uplift capability and promote DevOps practices.
- Lead integration platform modernization initiatives.
- Collaborate with architecture, delivery and product teams.
- Lead IaC across Azure environments and build CI/CD pipelines.
- Improve security, observability and resilience of platforms.
- Guide teams on DevOps best practices.
