Job summary

PwC NZ is seeking a Senior Manager to lead end-to-end integration and data architecture initiatives for major NZ organisations. You will shape strategy, lead design, and deliver API-led and event-driven architectures across Azure and multi-cloud environments, while mentoring teams and growing capability.

You’ll work closely with clients, run workshops, define requirements, and ensure security, reliability, and operational excellence throughout delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• 10+ years leading end-to-end design and delivery of data and integration solutions.
• Experience running client workshops and translating business needs into scalable architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of cloud-based integration and data solutions across Azure and MuleSoft.
• Architect API-led, microservices, and event-driven solutions in complex enterprise environments.
• Engage with clients to run workshops, define requirements, and translate needs into scalable technical designs.
• Provide technical leadership ensuring security, resilience, and operational standards.
• Drive DevOps, CI/CD, and automation to enable efficient delivery.
• Support pre-sales and solution shaping, building strong client relationships.
• Mentor and guide engineers to grow capability within the practice.

• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or related degree.

• 10 years+experience leadingend-to-end design and delivery of data and integration solutions, including running client workshops,gatheringand translating business and data requirements into scalable architectures, and ensuring alignment to security, reliability, and Well-Architected principles

• Proven ability tobuild and manage client relationships in a commercial environment, with experience supporting pre-sales (proposals, solution shaping, technical discussions), and confidently engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive successful outcomes

Technical requirements:

Essential:

• Microsoft Azure: API Management, Application Gateways, Logic Apps, Functions, Fabric, AI Search, Foundry, AKS,VNets, Azure Front Door, Web Application Firewall, Storage Services, DevOps

• Integration Platforms:MuleSoft (CloudHub)

Desirable:

• Amazon Web Services: EKS, Bedrock, Agent Core, API Gateway, Storage Services, EC2, Lambda, VPC
