Job summary
Potentia is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to join Christchurch's tech delivery team on a contract through to 30 June 2027, with an immediate start. This hands-on leadership role will guide multi-disciplinary teams, shape solution design and architecture, and keep delivery moving with developers, data specialists, and vendors.
You’ll bring strong Databricks expertise including Delta Lake, PySpark, Unity Catalog, and ETL/ELT pipelines, plus CI/CD with Azure DevOps or GitHub.
Qualifications
- Experience leading multidisciplinary DevOps or technical delivery teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical delivery workstream and provide direction to a multidisciplinary team
- Guide solution design, architecture and implementation
- Provide technical leadership, coaching and mentoring
- Work closely with delivery teams, stakeholders and vendors
- Get hands-on with development and technical delivery when required
- Identify and manage technical risks, issues and dependencies
- Support quality, security and operational standards
- Contribute to technical documentation and continuous improvement
