Job summary

Omexom in Auckland seeks a Technical Coordinator acting as Project Supervisor for maintenance across the Distribution Network. The role involves coordinating work packs, drafting switching schedules, and on-site supervision of outages.

Two vacancies exist in the Auckland Distribution, Customer Delivery Team, with a focus on safety and efficiency. Ideal candidates have a live line qualification and distribution experience, plus regulatory knowledge and strong computer skills.

Qualifications

• A live line qualification and/or tertiary qualification at a polytechnic is preferred.
• Hands-on experience in distribution network installation and maintenance.
• A thorough knowledge of current regulatory and industry requirements for the carrying out of all prescribed electrical work.
• Sound computer skills

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate project activities with Project Managers, design teams, customers, and technical staff.
• Develop and implement cost-effective engineering methods and procedures that comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Schedule resources and manage technical project work in alignment with project timelines and deliverables.
• Provide leadership and guidance to technical staff to maintain productivity and foster positive industrial relations.
• Assist in scoping, estimating, and pricing of Purchase Order (PO) projects.
• Support Project Managers with progress claims, scope change assessments, and preparation of technical reports.
• Identify and assess project risks to prevent outages, equipment damage, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Contribute to the development of inspection and test plans (ITPs), job packs, and commissioning documentation.
• Monitor and track costs associated with job-specific plant and equipment on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Oversee testing and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with technical specifications and performance standards.
• Ensure all project activities adhere to the terms of the Contract Agreement for both Omexom and the customer.
