Job summary

Veovo, part of the NZX-listed Gentrack Group, seeks a talented Technical Consultant to join our team in Auckland. You will upgrade and test customer environments to ensure Veovo software deployments are successful, reliable, and continually meet customer requirements, with a strong focus on CI/CD.

You will undertake Product and Technology training to enable you to get started, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver high-quality outcomes for our customers.

Qualifications

• Experience with object-oriented programming languages and automated testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of SQL is highly regarded.
• Familiarity with AI-driven software development and CI/CD practices.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience in airport/aviation domain is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out programming of software modifications and new developments
• Documentation of code and user documentation
• Installation of new systems and upgrading existing systems including project management
• Assist with software and process Quality Assurance
• Provide customer training
• Analyse customer or new product requirements and writing specifications

You will play a key role in upgrading and testing customer environments to ensure Veovo software and solutions are deployed successfully, perform reliably, and continue to meet customer requirements. With a key focus on executing and developing our CI/CD program. You will be committed to learning how to analyse service requests from customers, providing programming and software delivery expertise for modifications and fixes of Veovo software and solutions. You will be expected to be an active participant in all aspects of your assigned team, collaborating closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality outcomes for our customers.

You will undertake specific Product and Technology training to enable you to get started in your role and this process will be supported by your team and your Manager on an ongoing basis.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Provide customer training

• Guide and Mentor other team members.
• Be a positive influential force for technical best practice within the team.

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will ideally come from an application support/technical background and ideally have technical and programming skills and knowledge. You are capable of using standard software packages (such as MS Office, drawing software, OS) and have experience with an object orientated programming language, automated testing frameworks and AI driven software development. Additionally, you have good analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail. Furthermore, knowledge of SQL will be highly regarded.

You have great stakeholder management skills and an optimistic outlook on life, common sense and a sense of humour are essential. Detailed knowledge of airport operations would be desirable as well.
